Spending Strategies

A place to try out ways of spending down a pot of money, and see how each one would have fared against the market that actually happened. Pick a strategy below — a steady paycheck, a share of whatever's left, or a share with a minimum under it — and every start year in the record is run as its own retirement, so the good decades and the ruinous ones sit side by side. Every strategy trades the same two things off against each other: how much you can count on, and how likely it is to last. Push the rate up and watch which one gives first.
